Served as Assistant Football, Head Baseball & Basketball Coach at Bennettsville HS (now Marlboro County) from 1958-1961; Aiken HS as Assistant Football and Head Baseball Coach from 1960-1961; Head Basketball & Football Coach & Athletic Director at Aiken from 1961-1967 & Head Football Coach and Athletic Director at T. L. Hanna HS from 1968-1984 Football teams won 168 games and he served as winning Head Coach in the 1982 North-South Football Game and in the 1976 Shrine Bowl Over 100 of his players received football college scholarships Served as South Carolina Athletic Coaches Association President in 1978 and was nominated for National Athletic Director of the Year in 1983-1984 Is a member of the South Carolina Athletic Coaches Association Hall of Fame Brought "Radio" to T.L. Hanna where he served as a mascot, equipment manager and was later made into a movie Deacon and Sunday School Teacher at First Presbyterian Church in Anderson |
