1953 Master of Ed from Temple University

Coached the Holmes Jr. High School from 1945-54 in basketball and was instrumental in the development of High School Athletic programs and community relations

Served on the Florence District #1 School Board

Founder of the Pee Dee Little League Youth Baseball program and and the facility at Northside Park that bears his name

Theodore Lester Elementary School & Lester Park are named for him

Instrumental in formation of the Boys Club of Florence
